London-based video director Grace Ladoja, known for her distinctive music videos and creative advertising campaign collaborations, began her career at 18 shooting a Nike campaign which documented London’s up and coming talent and has since used her understanding of youth and subculture to become one of the most talked about filmmakers in the UK.
After travelling the world making documentaries and working with brands including adidas, Supreme, ASOS, Puma, Barbie and Uniqlo, Ladoja has drawn on influences from various cultural experiences to create visuals for the likes of FKA Twigs and Skepta – directing the Mercury Prize-winning grime MC’s videos for Shutdown and Ladies Hit Squad. More recently, Ladoja began work with Neneh Cherry and Massive Attack producer Cameron McVey’s daughter Mabel, a collaboration which has enabled the young R&B singer to be featured in Vogue and perform on BBC’s Later… with Jools Holland.
